Orient Star has launched two new M45 F8 Mechanical Moon Phase Hand Winding models from its Classic Collection M45, featuring a regular model and a limited-edition model of 140 pieces. The regular model depicts the gentle moon in the still of the night and the slow passage of time, while the limited-edition model portrays a mystical scene of the star cluster Pleiades and the moon, attracting watch enthusiasts with irresistible appeals.

The Classic Collection M45 is composed of classical designs symbolizing the grandeur of the universe and eternal passage of time – themes connected to the star cluster Pleiades. The new M45 F8 Mechanical Moon Phase Hand Winding model has a new, minimalist design expressing the theme of “a graceful passage of time”, and is composed of hour and minute hands to tell the time, as well as power reserve indicator and moon phase display, both iconic Orient Star features.

The new models come in two different designs. The regular model with white dial depicts a scene of the moon shining in the stillness of night. The fine radial pattern of the dial and thick, clear coating applied with a wrapping technique emphasise the blue leaf-shaped hand against the elegant glossiness of the background giving the watch a sense of sophisticated classicism. Also memorable is the long minute hand that extends to the minute scale, with its tip slightly rounded as if to mimic the curve of the glass. The leisurely flow of time is expressed through the omission of a second hand and the absence of scales on the power reserve indicator and moon phase display. The dual curved sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides (SAR coating) allows you to admire the beautiful, elegant dial in its entirety.

The limited-edition model’s grey gradation dial portrays a beautiful scene of the star cluster Pleiades and the moon mysteriously glowing in the dark. This is the second time exploring the theme of occultation, or the overlapping of the moon and Pleiades, that was first expressed with the M45 F7 Mechanical Moon Phase model released in 2024. The new model’s dial has a stamped pattern expressing the countless stars of the M45 Pleiades star cluster, and a monotone gradation transitioning from grey in the centre to black on the outer edge using uniquely formulated paint. In addition, the thick, clear coating applied with a wrapping technique portrays the depths of the universe stretching into eternity. The dial also features multiple rounds of pad printing on the Roman numerals to create a sense of contour and shading, grey hands with two different finishes (mirror and hairline), and silver-coloured dots expressing the most radiant stars in the Pleiades star cluster.

Both the regular and limited-edition models are powered by the newly-developed hand winding in-house calibre F8A62 – a movement with 2 hands that is not only in keeping with the theme of simplicity, but also takes the watch’s pursuit of classical designs further with its thinness. Equipped with an in-house silicon escape wheel and 70-hour power reserve, calibre F8A62 is characterized by a bridge with a cut-out allowing the blue escape wheel to be viewed from the see-through case back. It also features Geneva stripes evoking star trails, a crescent-shaped window, and a revamped moon phase display that now features a moon motif made of mother-of-pearl and stars scattered against a lustrous night sky. The attractiveness of the moon phase is elevated by the exquisite finishing and the gentle expression of the mother-of-pearl moon.

The new models return to a design that closely resembles the original Mechanical Moon Phase. A notable update has been made to one of the most original features of this watch: the expression of the moon phase. The moon’s backdrop has been changed to a vibrant, deep-blue-coloured night sky, and the stars appear sharper due to improved brightness. The dual curved sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides (SAR coating) blocks approximately ninety-nine percent of reflections, providing high visibility from every angle for a clear view of the entire watch dial.

The rounded case and metal bracelet are made of high-quality stainless steel (SUS316L) and the bracelet now comes with short-pitch links that are convenient for fine-tuning the size for a better fit on the wrist. Both regular models with white and navy blue dials, and limited-edition model featuring a new light blue dial colour, come with an additional strap made of cordovan or leather, allowing the wearer to enjoy different facets of the watch.

In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Orient has released a 75th anniversary limited-edition
model as well as regular models from Orient Stretto, a new iconic series in the Contemporary
Collection. Modern, varied designs and affordable prices make the Orient Stretto a highly

The word ʻstrettoʼ derives from Italian musical terminology referring to accelerating the
tempo towards a climax, lending the series a sense of an exhilaration, fitting to a busy urban
lifestyle. Orient Strettoʼs designs are based on the popular Semi Skeleton model with a theme
that expresses urban landscapes. Wedge-shaped indices evoke towering skyscrapers, while the

polished reverse-R surface on the case lugs adds a distinctive shine.


Three new 75th anniversary models are available in a limited edition of 2,500 pieces for Orient
Stretto Day &amp; Night, 2,800 pieces for Orient Stretto Semi Skeleton and 2,900 pieces for Orient
Stretto Date. The models are each based on different designs, but share common elements
commemorating the brandʼs 75th anniversary, such as the original Orient logo from 75 years
ago in cursive on the dial, and a grey tone that enhances the overall look.


Orient Strettoʼs urban designs are accentuated by a distinctive sunburst culminating in an arc,
and three-dimensional wedge-shaped indices that harmonize with the grey dial – a rare dial
colour for Orient. The orange colouring of the hands and around Luminous Light indices
provides a striking accent to the monotoned look of the watch. The see-through case back
revealing the mechanical movement is marked with a cursive inscription “Orient Since 1950
75th Anniversary” and individual serial numbers are also engraved on the back of the watch.

The new regular Orient Stretto Date model features a date display, and comes in popular dial
colours from the Semi Skeleton line: navy blue, white and brown. The same sunburst finishing
to an arc and wedge-shaped indices as the 75th anniversary model can be found on the dial. The
case has a diameter of 38.5 mm for ease of wear and features reverse-R lugs, characteristic of
the Orient Stretto series.


Each of the dial colours represent diverse features: the model with white dial has gold-
coloured plating on the bezels, metal bracelet, hands and indices for a touch of glamour, while
the model with brown dial comes with chic rose gold-coloured plating on the bezels, and an

Orient has released a 75th anniversary limited-edition World Map model from its Revival
Collection which looks back on the brandʼs 75-year history to reproduce its most iconic
timepieces. This second edition revival model brings back the popular World Map, known for its
multi-coloured dial and world map motif, with a special two-toned case adorned with gold
colouring.


Orient has been loved by watch aficionados worldwide since 1950 for its creative, original
designs and the reliability of its mechanical movements. The Revival Collection features models
that have symbolised the essence of the brand through the course of its long watchmaking

travel to the Japanese public. The modelʼs simplified world time function symbolized the

the time in various regions around the world by rotating the 24-hour display inner ring using the

</h2>In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Orient has released a 75th anniversary limited-edition
model as well as regular models from Orient Stretto, a new iconic series in the Contemporary

lifestyle. Orient Strettoʼs designs are based on the popular Semi Skeleton model with a theme
that expresses urban landscapes. Wedge-shaped indices evoke towering skyscrapers, while the
concentric circles beneath them suggest the arcs often seen in modern architecture. The mirror-
polished reverse-R surface on the case lugs adds a distinctive shine.
Three new 75th anniversary models are available in a limited edition of 2,500 pieces for Orient
Stretto Day &amp; Night, 2,800 pieces for Orient Stretto Semi Skeleton and 2,900 pieces for Orient
Stretto Date. The models are each based on different designs, but share common elements
commemorating the brandʼs 75th anniversary, such as the original Orient logo from 75 years
ago in cursive on the dial, and a grey tone that enhances the overall look.
Orient Strettoʼs urban designs are accentuated by a distinctive sunburst culminating in an arc,
and three-dimensional wedge-shaped indices that harmonize with the grey dial – a rare dial
colour for Orient. The orange colouring of the hands and around Luminous Light indices
provides a striking accent to the monotoned look of the watch. The see-through case back
revealing the mechanical movement is marked with a cursive inscription “Orient Since 1950
75th Anniversary” and individual serial numbers are also engraved on the back of the watch.
The models each come with a special 75th anniversary box.
The new regular Orient Stretto Date model features a date display, and comes in popular dial
colours from the Semi Skeleton line: navy blue, white and brown. The same sunburst finishing
to an arc and wedge-shaped indices as the 75th anniversary model can be found on the dial. The
case has a diameter of 38.5 mm for ease of wear and features reverse-R lugs, characteristic of
the Orient Stretto series.
Each of the dial colours represent diverse features: the model with white dial has gold-
coloured plating on the bezels, metal bracelet, hands and indices for a touch of glamour, while
the model with brown dial comes with chic rose gold-coloured plating on the bezels, and an
easy exchange strap allowing for a quick replacement of the strap for added convenience.
All the 75th anniversary limited-edition and regular models of the Orient Stretto series are
equipped with an automatic, bi-directional winding movement allowing the watch to be fully
wound in a short amount of time. The in-house movement offers stable accuracy of +25
seconds to –15 seconds per day, power reserve of 40 hours, and a case offering water
resistance to 5 bar, making this the perfect watch to comfortably wear in daily life, for any style
or occasion.

Collection which looks back on the brandʼs 75-year history to reproduce its most iconic
timepieces. This second edition revival model brings back the popular World Map, known for its
multi-coloured dial and world map motif, with a special two-toned case adorned with gold
colouring.

With its retro look, World Map is one of the watches that truly represents Orientʼs history and
the era. Its origin can be traced back to World Diver* released in 1969, a model that combined
the characteristics of a diverʼs watch and travel watch in a style that is uniquely Orient. World
Diver itself was conceived as a successor to the legendary and rare Calendar Auto Orient
Swimmer World Trip* released in 1964 – the year that Japan lifted restrictions on overseas
travel to the Japanese public. The modelʼs simplified world time function symbolized the
aspirations of Japanese people who dreamed of travelling overseas: it allowed users to estimate
the time in various regions around the world by rotating the 24-hour display inner ring using the
crown at the four oʼclock position on the case, until it aligned with the dialʼs world map as seen
from the southern hemisphere.
The new World Map model commemorating Orientʼs 75th anniversary is equipped with the
same design and functions as the first revival model, along with special specifications such as
placing the Orient logo in cursive from the 1950s on a multi-coloured dial that faithfully
reproduces the original model from 1969, as well as adorning the case rim and crown with gold
colouring. The case back is also engraved with a cursive inscription “Orient Since 1950 75th
Anniversary” and individual serial numbers. The watch comes in a special 75th anniversary box.
The new modelʼs two-toned, stainless steel and gold-coloured case reproduces the unique,
retro-futuristic design of the original model while being updated to achieve water resistance to
20 bar. The integrated metal bracelet offers a comfortable fit and the automatic (with hand
winding) in-house calibre F6922 provides stable accuracy. The 75th anniversary World Map
model is a must-have both for dedicated Orient fans and collectors around the world seeking
rare, one-of-a-kind watches.
*Neither of the original models meet current ISO standards as there were no clear standards for diversʼ
watches at the time. Both models are now discontinued.

As Arizona Robbins from Grey’s Anatomy said, not all heroes wear capes. Some happen to be tiny humans. Now, another teenager and her friends set out to create a lasting impact in the Philippine arts and culture space by publishing the first book of the ongoing children’s book series, The Adventures of Damgo: Betta and the Dry Lands.

At just 16 years old, Jacqueline Dominique “Nikki” Go is already creating heroic contributions to art and pediatric cancer communities.&nbsp;

As the founder of the Damgo Art Therapy Foundation and the author of The Adventures of Damgo, Nikki’s journey starts with the love for family and art.

Nikki’s artistic interests began in early childhood, nurtured by supportive parents who, despite not being artists themselves, recognized and cultivated their daughter’s creative talents. "I’ve always felt happiest when I get lost creating art," Nikki shares.&nbsp;

This passion for art, however, was juxtaposed against a backdrop of loss and heartache as cancer took the lives of several close family members. "Cancer is hereditary, and I have it on both sides of my family. I’ve lost 3 uncles to cancer, and my grandma and aunt are survivors," Nikki recounts.&nbsp;

These experiences naturally fueled her curiosity and empathy toward cancer patients and survivors, eventually leading her to establish the Damgo Art Therapy Foundation.

Like most youth-led initiatives, the foundation originated from Nikki’s 8th-grade school project aimed at contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).&nbsp;

While her peers focused on themes like poverty and sustainability, Nikki chose to explore the impact of art on mental well-being, particularly among teenagers. "I saw a huge lift in happiness when teenagers were exposed to art." Nikki explains. This discovery ignited a deeper inquiry into the beneficiaries of art therapy, ultimately guiding her to Bahay Aruga, a halfway home for pediatric cancer patients.

"When I approached Bahay Aruga, I wanted to offer something more valuable than monetary donations. Something that would have a lasting positive effect on the patients… art therapy had that effect," says Nikki.&nbsp;

The Damgo Art Therapy Foundation was born out of this desire, and it quickly became hope for young cancer patients. Through art therapy sessions, Nikki witnessed firsthand the transformative power of creativity. "One of my students said that she 'couldn’t believe she is able to paint the things she’s done.' She told me how she looked forward&nbsp; to our art therapy sessions, and she carries this feeling when she goes for treatment."

Inspired by the children’s resilience and imagination, Nikki penned The Adventures of Damgo, a series that takes cancer patients on a cosmic journey filled with limitless possibilities. "I hope that through these stories, children all over the country and the world become inspired to dream big and help each other overcome any obstacle," Nikki says. “Damgo, in Cebuano, also means dream.”

The book’s impact has been profound, forging deep connections between the young artists and the community that supports them. Tragically, two of the contributing artists, Richard and Ralph, passed away before the book’s completion. Yet, their legacy lives on through their artwork and the positive influence the project had on their lives.&nbsp;

"Remembering the moments with Richard, he remarked how he loves the art therapy sessions because it takes his mind off the pain, even for a few hours,'" Nikki reflects. “Meanwhile, Ralph was that one student who didn’t miss a single week’s lesson. He loved the art therapy sessions! He told me that he loved to paint Damgo’s adventures because it makes him imagine that he too, can one day go outside the country and see unbelievable sights.”

Publishing the first book is just the start of Nikki’s big plans for the Damgo Art Therapy Foundation. With two more books in development and a growing partnership with the International School Manila’s Visual Arts Club, the foundation is poised to continue its mission of providing joy and comfort to pediatric cancer patients.&nbsp;

"In the future, I hope to see more innovation in the art therapy execution, and more adventures of Damgo," Nikki says. “Excited for book 2!”

I’ve lost 3 uncles to cancer, and my grandma and aunt are survivors," Nikki recounts.&nbsp;These experiences naturally fueled her curiosity and empathy toward cancer patients and survivors, eventually leading her to establish the Damgo Art Therapy Foundation.Like most youth-led initiatives, the foundation originated from Nikki’s 8th-grade school project aimed at contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).&nbsp;While her peers focused on themes like poverty and sustainability, Nikki chose to explore the impact of art on mental well-being, particularly among teenagers. "I saw a huge lift in happiness when teenagers were exposed to art." Nikki explains. This discovery ignited a deeper inquiry into the beneficiaries of art therapy, ultimately guiding her to Bahay Aruga, a halfway home for pediatric cancer patients."When I approached Bahay Aruga, I wanted to offer something more valuable than monetary donations. Something that would have a lasting positive effect on the patients… art therapy had that effect," says Nikki.&nbsp;The Damgo Art Therapy Foundation was born out of this desire, and it quickly became hope for young cancer patients. Through art therapy sessions, Nikki witnessed firsthand the transformative power of creativity. "One of my students said that she 'couldn’t believe she is able to paint the things she’s done.' She told me how she looked forward&nbsp; to our art therapy sessions, and she carries this feeling when she goes for treatment."Inspired by the children’s resilience and imagination, Nikki penned The Adventures of Damgo, a series that takes cancer patients on a cosmic journey filled with limitless possibilities. "I hope that through these stories, children all over the country and the world become inspired to dream big and help each other overcome any obstacle," Nikki says. “Damgo, in Cebuano, also means dream.”<img style="width: 100%;" src="https://imagedelivery.net/H6_s_Eb_ylTWnSEV3HlmYQ/41c5b39d-56c8-4468-0b95-4c7dbf4dd600/public" alt="Nikki Go with the kids of Bahay Aruga" />The book’s impact has been profound, forging deep connections between the young artists and the community that supports them. Tragically, two of the contributing artists, Richard and Ralph, passed away before the book’s completion. Yet, their legacy lives on through their artwork and the positive influence the project had on their lives.&nbsp;"Remembering the moments with Richard, he remarked how he loves the art therapy sessions because it takes his mind off the pain, even for a few hours,'" Nikki reflects. “Meanwhile, Ralph was that one student who didn’t miss a single week’s lesson. He loved the art therapy sessions! He told me that he loved to paint Damgo’s adventures because it makes him imagine that he too, can one day go outside the country and see unbelievable sights.”Publishing the first book is just the start of Nikki’s big plans for the Damgo Art Therapy Foundation. With two more books in development and a growing partnership with the International School Manila’s Visual Arts Club, the foundation is poised to continue its mission of providing joy and comfort to pediatric cancer patients.&nbsp;"In the future, I hope to see more innovation in the art therapy execution, and more adventures of Damgo," Nikki says. “Excited for book 2!”
