Zeroboard signs MOU with Rojana Industrial Park, Thailand to promote decarbonization

Zeroboard (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Contributing to Thailand's carbon neutrality through GHG visualization in industrial parks
preview

Zeroboard Inc.(Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Michitaka Tokeiji, hereinafter referred to as "our company"), a company that supports corporate sustainability management, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ROJANA INDUSTRIAL PARK PUBLIC CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Rojana"), a major industrial Company in Thailand, to support decarbonization.

Through this partnership, the two companies aim to jointly develop and provide programs to companies working to visualize and reduce their GHG (greenhouse gas) emission amount in multiple industrial estates operated by Rojana in Thailand, to facilitate disclosure of Scope 1 to 3 and product-level GHG emission amount, as well as to promote the transition to decarbonized management.

In line with the Thai government's decarbonization policy, we will support the practical response of tenant companies by establishing a system for visualizing and reducing emission amount at the industrial park level. This will provide an opportunity for tenant companies to respond efficiently and appropriately to international disclosure standards and requests from business partners.

Background and Objectives

The Thai government has set national goals of "carbon neutral by 2050" and "net zero by 2065," and is working to ensure transparency and mandatory disclosure of GHG emission amount. In light of these policy trends, this MOU aims to visualize emission amount at the industrial estate level and to establish an effective emission reduction scheme led by the private sector.

In particular, in response to Scope 3 emission amount(emissions throughout the entire supply chain), which are expected to become more widespread in the future, by utilizing our GHG visualization cloud Service, we will help reduce the workload of tenant companies and accelerate practical decarbonization actions.

Overview of Contents

1. Establishment of a decarbonized management support scheme utilizing Zeroboard's GHG visualization cloud Service and Rojana Group's GHG reduction solutions

2. Support for advanced calculation, management and reporting of emission amount for Scope 1 to 3 and product-level emission amount

3. Jointly hosting decarbonization support seminars and workshops for tenant companies

Going forward, the two companies will gradually expand their initiatives within Thailand and, by supporting the decarbonization of companies, strengthen their contribution to achieving carbon neutrality throughout the region.
