KUALA LUMPUR, 17 November 2025 – UEM Edgenta Berhad (“UEM Edgenta” or “the Company”), Malaysia’s leading Asset Management and Infrastructure Solutions company, through its the learning and development arm, Edgenta Academy Sdn Bhd (EASB), entered into a Memorandum of Business Exploration (MOBE) with the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) to explore potential collaborations in areas encompassing training, research, industry engagement, and regulatory development.

The signing of the MOBE forms part of EASB’s 2025 strategy to strengthen institutional partnerships and reinforce its role within the national learning and development ecosystem. Through this partnership, EASB and APU will co-develop cutting-edge training programmes, bridging academic expertise with industry experience while pursuing collaborative research in engineering and technology. The collaboration positions EASB at the intersection of academia and industry, which nurtures talent equipped with the skills and agility needed to propel Malaysia’s future workforce; and further underscores UEM Edgenta’s continued commitment to nation building through talent development, innovation, and industry advancement.

Commenting on the partnership, Razman Ismail, Director of Edgenta Academy Sdn Bhd and Chief People Officer at UEM Edgenta shared, “At UEM Edgenta, we recognise that the advancement of human capital and industry capabilities are central to Malaysia’s growth aspirations. Through this collaboration with APU, we aim to bridge academia and industry by developing forward-looking training and knowledge initiatives that nurture the next generation of professionals and leaders.”

“This partnership is not only about academic collaboration, but also about creating a sustainable talent pipeline that meets evolving industry demands. By combining APU’s academic excellence with EASB’s practical industry insight, we are building a framework that supports Malaysia’s transition toward a knowledge-driven and innovation-led economy,” he added.

APU is one of Malaysia’s premier private universities, ranked among the top 2% of universities worldwide in the QS World University Rankings 2026 and is the first Malaysian university accredited by the UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), and the first in Malaysia to be awarded the prestigious QS 5-Stars Plus Rating. Its established track record in graduate employability and industry collaboration complements EASB’s mission to deliver impactful, industry-aligned learning experiences.

The MOBE is a non-binding agreement with a duration of up to two years, renewable upon mutual consent. This initiative further affirms UEM Edgenta’s role as a responsible corporate leader committed to contributing to the nation’s sustainable development and long-term socio-economic progress through education, skills enhancement, and innovation-driven partnerships.
