KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – HELP University is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of two student-athletes who brought home top honours at the national varsity sporting championships held in Penang in April 2026, demonstrating excellence both on and off the field.

At the Varsity Track and Field Championship (VTF1), held from 16–19 April 2026 at Stadium Olahraga Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Daren James Nair delivered a remarkable performance by winning the Gold Medal in the Men's 5,000m event. His victory was made even more memorable as he established a new Championship Record, cementing his place among the country's top university athletes.

Meanwhile, at the Varsity Swimming Championship (VSwC 1), held from 17–19 April 2026 at the Relau Sports Complex, Regina Cheong showcased exceptional determination and skill in the pool, securing three medals across the backstroke events. She earned a Silver Medal in the 200m Backstroke, along with Bronze Medals in both the 50m Backstroke and 100m Backstroke.

These accomplishments reflect the dedication, discipline, and perseverance of HELP University's student-athletes, who continue to excel while balancing the demands of academic and competitive sporting commitments.

The university also acknowledges the invaluable contributions of Mr Kannan and Mr Darryl from the Department of Student Affairs (DSA), whose commitment to coaching, training, logistical coordination, and overall team management played an instrumental role in the team's successful campaign throughout the championships.

HELP University extends its heartfelt congratulations to Daren James Nair and Regina Cheong for their outstanding achievements. Their success exemplifies the university's commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who strive for excellence in academics, leadership, and sports.
