/ Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park to Host the Inaugural ISP Southeast Asia Student Games 2026
More Than a Sporting Event
Hosted by Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park and delivered in partnership with TEEMS Global and ISP Malaysia, the Games have been designed to bring ISP’s Five Learning Pillars to life beyond the classroom. Underpinned by ISP’s Learning.First.™ framework — a personalised, student-centred approach that develops both academic excellence and essential life skills — the Games are a living example of what it means to put learning first. Across every match, every team huddle and every shared meal, students will be putting metacognition into practice: reflecting on what’s working, adapting their approach, and growing in confidence with every step.
The programme directly builds ISP’s Big 5 Life Competencies:
• Interpersonal skills: students build positive relationships, communicate effectively and work as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
• Self-leadership: competing at an inter-school level calls on students to manage emotions, demonstrate resilience and motivate themselves and others under pressure.
• Global skills: connecting with peers from across SEA fosters intercultural understanding and the respectful curiosity that defines an ISP learner.
• Cognitive skills: reading the game, adapting tactics, and solving problems in real time sharpens critical thinking and creativity.
• Digital skills: students and staff will use digital tools to collaborate, document and share the story of the Games across the ISP network.
A Platform for International Opportunities
The inaugural Games sit firmly within ISP’s International Opportunities learning pillar, which gives students the chance to represent their school, engage with peers from other cultures and grow as global citizens. Alongside the ISP Model United Nations, ISP Cultural Exchange and other flagship programmes, the Student Games are a further expression of ISP’s commitment to learning that extends well beyond the classroom.
Students will participate in football badminton, basketball and volleyball in a programme that balances competitive sport with social interaction, community-building, and the genuine joy of representing their school.
“The ISP SEA Student Games are far more than a sporting competition. They are a chance for our students to demonstrate curiosity, confidence, and care for others — to lead themselves, work with those around them and connect with the wider world. That is exactly what an ISP education is designed to make possible.”
— Jeffrey Ison, Tenby Eco Park Campus Principal
